“Dr. John L. Niles obtained his medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine. He did his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in both Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Dr. John L. Niles has made significant contributions to the field, including being the first to discover the C-ANCA protein. Since 1988, he has been involved in researching and developing assays for ANCA and has focused on ANCA-associated vasculitis. Throughout his career, Dr. John L. Niles has conducted various clinical studies to better understand ANCA tests, the range of diseases related to ANCA, and the effectiveness of treatments for ANCA-associated conditions. Furthermore, since 1986, he has been actively working with continuous renal replacement therapies. He has devised and published a simplified and safer approach for utilizing citrate anticoagulation with CVVH. Dr. John L. Niles is affiliated with medical facilities such as Massachusetts General Hospital.”
