“Dr. Liliana Bordeianou obtained her MD from Harvard Medical School. She completed her residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and her fellowship at the University of Minnesota Hospital & Clinic. She is a board-certified colorectal surgeon and general surgeon by the American Board of Colon & Rectal Surgery. She has a clinical interest in robotic colorectal resections, pelvic floor reconstructions, sphincter preservation techniques, and laparoscopy for Crohn's disease, colon and rectal cancer, ulcerative colitis, and diverticulitis. Dr. Liliana Bordeianou has extensive experience in a wide range of techniques, and she follows minimally invasive approaches. She specializes in performing open surgery for complex redo surgical procedures. She has a special interest in sphincter preservation techniques for patients with inflammatory bowel disease and for low-lying rectal cancer. Dr. Liliana Bordeianou works as a Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. She is the director of the MGH Colorectal Surgery and chairs the Pelvic Floor Disorders Center. She is the Co-Chair of the MGB Colorectal Surgery Collaborative at Mass General Brigham.
