I absolutely love this place. I have literally been going here for more than 20 years and all of the doctors are wonderful. But to be honest, it’s the front staff that absolutely rock. They are kind, considerate, professional, Take the time to answer all my questions, and really make this place shine. I have no issues with my eye appointments they go smooth and efficient. Always on time. Hands-down stellar.

From the moment you enter the clinic, each staff member is friendly and knowledgeable. The doctor here discovered cataracts in my eyes, got me referred for surgery and took care of all of my aftercare questions. I trust them absolutely with my eye health.

Just had my first eye appointment and the whole team was fantastic! I loved how the doc was thorough in explaining the tests and what he saw as a result. Thank you.

It is so nice to feel important as an individual, not rushed through tests, spoken to patiently, given time to make the decision on what frames to purchase! Everyone is just as considerate as they can be and it is very cool that all employees are bilingual. A very pleasant experience and Dr. Joel clearly knows what he is doing.

Dr. Westrum's careful evaluations with modern equipment make me feel like I'm always getting top notch healthcare and I love picking out a new pair of glasses. Fantastic.

I have been going to Westrum for years and they explain everything so it's really easy to understand. I recommend anyone go to them. Downtown location is in the east village.

I have been a patient at Des Moines Eye Care for several years now, and I am always pleasantly reminded every time I come in how much I enjoy my eye care experiences at Des Moines Eye Care. The doctors and the staff are not only extremely competent and professional, they are personable and engaging as well. My appointments have always started on time, and the visits have never been rushed. Everything in the exam is explained thoroughly, and there is always time to have any questions answered, and yet there is also an ongoing one-on-one conversation I find personal and relaxing. The office has a fresh feel to it, and the equipment is new and technically current. They also provide a range of high quality eye wear, better than I was used to seeing, at fair prices. I highly recommend Des Moines Eye Care. And I recommend you give them a try.

This is the first eye provider where I had everything explained to me and the reason behind it. They do a great job breaking down the tests they do and take their time to really care about you and your concerns. Hands down would recommend them and I am so glad I switched.

I had a great experience! Everything was very simple from the actual appointment to getting it scheduled! It was the first time I left the optometrist and felt like I understood what was happening and why! Highly recommend to anyone.
