Here’s The Deal:
Aquarium of the Americas is a marine exhibit with a 400,000-gallon tank with coral reefs, sharks, rays, and a walk-through tunnel. There are 10,000 animals in total, representing 530 different species. It has four various exhibits. The Caribbean reef is a 30-foot (9 m) long tunnel, a 132,000 US gallons tank. Amazon exhibit is encased in a glass cylinder. The Gulf of Mexico exhibit is the aquarium's primary attraction, which is the 400,000 US gallons tank. Mississippi River gallery features sea life like catfish, paddlefish, owls, & a leucistic white alligator. The aquarium is consistently top-ranked, voted as one of the top five in the country in the USA Today "10Best" reader poll, and ranked as one of the top things to do in New Orleans. Members of the aquarium can get free admission and many discounts.
