TOP 3 BRIGHT START EARLY CARE AND PRESCHOOL REVIEWS
Our 18 month old has been enrolled at Bright Start almost since it opened and it has been a wonderful experience. The facility is brand new. The furniture and all the items are right sized for children. There’s a nice courtyard as well as classrooms. It is spotless. The staff is friendly and attentive. The teachers are wonderful. We receive daily reports on our son and we also get good feedback about our child during the day. If there are signs of an illness, or irritability, we get a heads up. Bright start feels like a partner more than a service. Cannot recommend this place enough if you’re in need of daycare.
We have been sending our daughter to Bright Start for almost two years, and we just started sending our new baby. In the time our daughter has been there, we have been so happy to see her build connections with other children, spend time outdoors, learn about music, dance and art, and eat healthy and dynamic cuisines. With all the positive progress she's made at Bright Start, the decision to send our new baby there too was very easy. It's a loving and warm community.
Our daughter is thriving at Bright Start. She loves her teachers and is excited to go each morning. I love that she gets a wide variety of healthy, nutritious foods each day that are freshly prepared onsite. I know she's kept safe and feels loved by her teachers and all of the Bright Start staff. They have really thought of everything I could possibly want from a childcare center - from serving healthy, fresh meals to providing diapers, lots of outside play time, music, and fun, engaging lesson plans - all in a warm, family environment. I highly recommend Bright Start to other DC families!
Our daughter attended Bright Start on Kennedy Street for five years -- from the Pooh Nursery before the pandemic to the PK-3/PK-4 class. When our son was born, we didn't hesitate to send him there, too. They both benefited so much from the warm, loving, and safe environment provided by wonderful teachers and support staff. They had space and support to become little people, and they learned more than numbers and letters -- they learned how to be artists, athletes, musicians, students, and friends. Every cent we paid was money well spent, and I wholeheartedly recommend Bright Start to any parent. A few more things to know: PreK is free for DC residents and doesn't require going through the lottery. Bright Start has expanded from one location to three, with the others in Brentwood and NoMa. Tuition is all-inclusive and covers the cost of diapers, wipes, formula, and food. - Ben L

TOP 3 NATIONAL CHILD RESEARCH CENTER (NCRC PRESCHOOL) REVIEWS
This is our third year at NCRC and we have enjoyed being part of this welcoming community. The teachers have done an excellent job nurturing and caring for our daughter. The play-based curriculum strikes a good balance between social and emotional development and academic learning, particularly in the older classes. The teachers are talented and professional and the head of school always accessible and willing to help. The other specialist staff for occupational therapy, music, Spanish, developmental advice really complete the offering to give children an excellent start to their educational journey.
I honestly can not say enough good things about NCRC's teacher, administrators, and curriculum. They have created an environment and community where our son has thrived in so many ways, and we have felt so fulfilled as a family. My only complaint is that they don't allow parents to attend as well.
The incredible team National Child Research Center - NCRC Preschool is an absolute joy to work with. Congratulations from all of us C2Auctions on an amazing fundraiser to provide scholarships in our community.

TOP 3 BROADCASTERS' CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER REVIEWS
We are so lucky that our kids ended up at BCDC. We've had at least one kid there since 2019, and it is just a lovely place. Everyone cares about your child - they all know each kid, and when my kid walks in they're greeted by multiple people before they even get to their class. Everyone helps each other out and they're really invested in taking great care of the kids. When my graduated kid (now in pre-K) comes back to pick up the little one, they get hugs and greetings from all their old teachers (who are all still there because they have shockingly little teacher turnover for early childhood centers). Staff and administration communicate well, are receptive to feedback, and as flexible as they can be. Oh, and they basically potty trained my oldest! It's a great place and we're grateful for it every day!
Our son has been at BCDC for a few months now and we are really happy. Choosing a daycare in DC is stressful because you have to make a very important (and expensive) choice in a limited amount of time. But we are very pleased that we decided to go with BCDC. The staff are really loving with our son, and the center is very organized and well run. They moved into a new space recently which is really clean and bright, and the enrichment activities (music, baby yoga) are an added bonus. A lot of the staff have been there for many years (one teacher in our class has been there 10, and another has been there 30!!) so they feel very invested in making the center great. We feel fortunate that our child is in great hands.
We have been absolutely thrilled with the care and education our daughter has received at BCDC. The teachers and staff are loving and warm, and the new facility on Wisconsin Avenue is beautiful. We feel very fortunate to have found the Center and the wonderful community of families and educators that it has created. I strongly recommend the BCDC to families looking for a wonderful environment for early childhood education.
