Our daughter attended Capital Kids when she was 2 and 3 years old and we could not have been happier. This is the best daycare in the area (we did a lot of research) with wonderful leadership and educators and we highly recommend it. We live in Georgetown and many of our neighbor kids attended Capital Kids as well with the same great feedback. Capital Kids helped our daughter transition from being home with nanny to a daycare setting very smoothly and updated us multiple times a day about her progress during this transition time which was really appreciated and gave us peace of mind. The leadership and educators were very responsive to any questions or requests we had and they were always very friendly and attentive. We were impressed by the variety of creative activities that kids are offered at this daycare, including many amazing outdoor activities. This relatively small daycare has natural light, small classrooms, great student to teacher ratio and offers healthy food options including warm lunches, so parents do not need to worry about bringing anything. It is very well managed and organized, has many family events, very cute birthday celebrations for children, very special holiday shows and has a great parent community as well. We loved our time at Capital Kids and would highly recommend it!.

We sent both our girls here from about 6 months through pre-K. They thrived in this environment. They put great care and thought into the activities and curriculum so that the children are engaged and learning. From sensory activities to social emotional and academic, they have it all and do a great job. Our girls were more than prepared for kindergarten. Other highlights: enriching field trips, healthy delicious food daily (our girls loved it), amazing teachers, good pick and drop off times.

Two of our kids went to capital kids starting around 6 months old. It’s such a great place. The teachers are so warm, loving, and welcoming. And the staff is always available to answer questions and provide updates. We would send our kids here again!.

I am so grateful for the time that we spent at Kiddie Academy. We had our son there from 8 mos to 25 mos, when we moved away. I was so grateful to his teachers and staff for taking such good care of him each day. They were very attuned to his needs and personality as he grew. For example, as a new walker he was very cautious and hated anything that made him feel unstable, when the class would go on daily walks to the park they would pair him with the most stable walker in his class or have him hold the teachers hand instead of that adorable toddler-rope-thing. He initiates putting his toys away at home and uses ‘please’ regularly when asking for things. People comment on how well-behaved and polite he is, and I have to give all the credit Kiddie Academy, it definitely isn’t me! Our time there has been such a gift to our entire family - to our son who was thoughtfully cared for every day, and to my husband and I when we did not need to worry about him while we’re at work.

Kiddie Academy is the only place I would ever send my child for preschool. I've never found a place that is both warm and loving but also equally academic and developmentally-minded. At Kiddie, you don't have to sacrifice one for the other. The teachers and administrative staff are all absolutely wonderful! They are kind, responsive, and always calm my anxieties as a first-time parent. They make my daughter feel loved and have helped her learn so much. Each teacher genuinely cares about their students, and even teachers that don't have my daughter in their class care about her. Everyone who works at Kiddie cares deeply about their job and takes it very seriously. The community is incredible and we have all made so many friends - both our daughter and us as parents! They provide so many opportunities for us to get to know the other kids and families. My daughter was counting to 15 in Spanish before she was even two years old!.

I can’t say enough about Kiddie Academy in West End. All of our children were in good hands at Kiddie. The teachers were like family- very nurturing environment. Teachers had plenty of experience in early childhood education. Teachers were caring, supportive, and communicative.We spent 9 years at Kiddie and it was the best environment for our kids. Would not have sent our kids anywhere else.
