3 Best Assisted Living Facilities in Buffalo, NY

Our father was fortunate to live here from 2021 through August 2024 until he required a higher level skilled nursing care. For Assisted living and Memory care I do not believe there is a better choice in Western NY than Tennyson. The staff are compassionate, kind, skilled, and always right on top of the residents needs. All of the care, meals, activities, & events to involve families, are done with your loved ones quality of life and enrichment as the priority. The facility is spotless clean and in approximately 3 years I’ve never seen a staff member on their phone or sitting unless they were involved in their work or an activity with a resident. That speaks volumes!!!!

My mother lived at Tennyson Court Assisted Living for over 3 years until her recent passing. The facility is charming and with the loving care, community and amazing staff (nurses, aides and administrators) my mom to felt safe and cared for with me living 3000 miles away. The team at Tennyson was always available to answer any questions and very responsive in times of need. I highly recommend Tennyson Court to any family needing extra help from an assisted living community!

My Mom loves living at Tennyson Court! She is always well taken care of and me and my brothers (who all live out of state) never feel like we are worrying about whether or not she is in good hands, because we see so ourselves every time we go to visit her! The staff are amazing and always have plenty of stories about our mom for us whenever we are in town. The nice thing too is they are always available whenever we have questions or concerns. When we moved my mother from Texas to Heathwood in Williamsville, NY, I was more than nervous, hoping my mother would be able to settle and adjust to such a change that this point in her life. Fortunately, seven months later, I can say her experience with the staff at Heathwood has been amazing! They were helpful and kind every step of the way from the move itself, to more long-term adjusting, to making sure the care provided met her 'where she was at' even as her needs changed. Dementia is difficult for the person experiencing it and the associated caretakers. For all the staff at Heathwood - from the laundry and cleaning staff to those that administer the medication to the nurses and case manager - I witnessed many occasions of going above and beyond to meet my mother's needs. While finding the right assisted living facility isn't a 'one size fits all' - some issues are personal preference or more personality-driven - I can say across the board, the staff at Heathwood are some of the best around! They are a great fit for anyone!

Heathwood's Memory Care Unit was my mom's home for 3 years. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the terrific and attentive staff, who treated our mother as if she was their own. The care received allowed my mother to re-establish a daily routine, and be truly settled in her new home. The love, care and respect my mother received will forever be cherished.

Mother's Day Tea at Heathwood Assisted Living Williamsville NY was a wonderful success.. everyone enjoyed the violinist. He had the residents and family members singing to some oldies but goodies. Thank you to the staff who took the time to treat everyone to some delicious desserts. We appreciate all of you.
