3 Best Auto Body Shops in Richmond, VA

During a snow storm we had a branch fall on my mother’s car and my car while they were parked in the driveway. Fortunately for my car only the hood along with the front fenders were damaged and in need of repairs. After the work they had done to my mother’s car which took the brunt of the damage you wouldn’t ever know anything had happened. Now this was the second time my car has been to Koontz Auto Bodyshop and each time they have done phenomenal work. Beginning the repair Keith was able to work with me on getting the hood painted the way I wanted and then was able to create new clips for the front fender that had popped out. The end result was more than I could have wished for. Would recommend them to anyone needing auto body work.

Koontz was recommended by my high end custom body shop as they were backed up for 2-1/2 years. Got me in right away, got me out as soon as possible and their body shop artisans did a top notch job and were even on my Allstate approved body shop list which surprised me as I was ready to fight them over this one! Nice job Koontz! They even touched up a Carbon Flash Black nick in the paint of the racing stripe on the hood where the Accelerate Yellow showed through (very obvious) at no cost and didn't even mention it! (but it didn't go unnoticed). Thank You! If i ever have the unfortunate need for a body repair again, you are my "go to guys" from now on and I will highly recommend you to my "car guy" friends! I would highly recommend Koontz Paint & Body Works! We were referred to them when our car was rear ended and the bumper needed to be replaced. They did a beautiful job with the repair and matching the paint. Can't even tell it was in an accident. They are great about sending texts with each step too.

Five stars from this family. The Rick Hendrick Collision team in Short Pump is amazing. Unfortunately, three of our four vehicles were repaired at this location in 2024. Choosing Rick Hendrick Collision three times in one year alone speaks to the quality of their work and the high caliber of service they provide. I echo the comment from another reviewer shared about Mitch. Every time we met with him, we felt heard and valued. The same can be said for the entire team, from the front door to the last garage door. We may not have met them all, but we surely appreciate all of them, and as much as we love them, it will be ok if we don't see them this year. If we need collision services, we will be right back at Rick Hendrick, where we know we will be well taken care of.

I’m very satisfied with the customer service and the work that was done on my ford focus kendal did an excellent job of keeping me informed with updated details while my car was there for repairs I was expecting it to take a lot longer then it did my car was in and out and everything was back to looking brand new I recommend using this collision center for any vehicle you own.

Can't say enough about Mitch and the team over at the collision center. I was very pleased with the results and service I received with them to repair quite a bit of damage to my truck. The results of the work on the truck are tremendous, but dealing with these folks was a pleasure. Thank you for great service.
