Specialty:
"Urban Set Bride was founded to create a more inclusive and welcoming bridal shopping experience. Owners Christine and Jennifer, part of an Army family, lived across the U.S. and Europe while their father/husband served. Christine attended VCU and met stylish, confident women who struggled to find diverse bridal options in Richmond. Large chain stores and traditional boutiques lacked inclusivity in sizing, marketing, and customer experience. Seeing this need, Christine shared her vision with her parents and invited her mother to help launch Urban Set Bride. Since opening in March 2014, the boutique has provided a safe space for all brides, regardless of size, background, or identity. The shop carries designer gowns from $1,500 to $4,500, with most between $2,200 and $2,800. Sample sizes range from 6 to 28, with at least 60 curvy samples in sizes 18-28, ensuring every bride finds a beautiful gown.
2026 Update: Urban Set Bride provides private, one-on-one bridal appointments, allowing brides to enjoy dedicated guidance throughout the dress selection process. Its team emphasizes an inclusive, supportive, and body-positive atmosphere that welcomes people from all backgrounds and identities."
