The bakery is so far from my house in San Jose but it’s totally worth the drive! We order about two large boxes of pastries and a hot pizza each time. There’s just something about the pizza that makes it so irresistible. I think the dough is just really good. We order a half pizza and they always give a third of a slice extra :) In pastries I really love the vegan zucchini ginger muffin and savory croissant. Everyone is so polite and helpful! I usually order online and my order is always ready in time. Would highly recommend the Lakeshore Arizmendi!
If you happen to be around please make sure to stop by for a slice of pizza, pastries or bread. There might be a line - the wait is totally worth it, I promise. I love getting a slice to go and walk around Lake Merritt. They also have many drink options and soup. Their staff is super friendly and have a very cool ethos as a business.
They have a unique and delicious cinnamon roll. Personally not a fan of the chocolate croissant but everything else I’ve tried is enjoyable! Affordable slice of pizza when I’m walking the lake and cheesy craving strikes. Usually a line, always efficient and friendly staff. Looking forward to tasting my way through the baked goods case.

Wow, I just had their bear claw and it is SO good! It's not traditional puff pastry because, you know, gluten free and I've missed pastries now and then with my health issues and gluten restrictions. But they've really done well on this one! I come here from time to time for the pizza dough, bread, dinner rolls, and the occasional sweet tooth fix. Their chocolate chunk cookies are also fantastic. So happy Mariposa is here and serving those of us who really require gluten free eating.
Dedicated gluten free bakery. They have things that are hard to find gluten free such as; croissants, whoopie pies (best I've ever had with a crunchy outside), etc. Alos the BEST hot chocolate I've had in a long time, which you can get with Almond milk!
If you are looking for gluten free goodies and live in the bay area, this is your place to go to! I love their bear claw pastries and their croissants. A little pricey but a good treat once in a while when your options are limited! Highly recommend checking them out!

The best bakery / patisserie in Berkeley. I love their croissant, morning bun, brioche, baguette and sourdough a lot. Falling love with them 36 years ago when I first move to this area. Went back to them for a good croissant has become a regular routine in the last 10 years since I’ve moved to other cities. Surprisingly, their flavors and service are all the same as always. Worth to go extra miles and pay the expensive toll fee to cross the Bay Bridge for the quality. BTW, they make great pies with fresh seasonal fruits from the area, like persimmon, figs, kiwi etc.. This is one of the best bakeries in Oakland, besides having fantastic pastries and an awesome staff; they give back to the community. Please check it out, they have several convenient locations and you won’t be disappointed. I got side tracked and forgot to get photo’s, I will get more soon.
La Farine is a stand out bakery with tons of amazing baked goods, as well as pies & tarts. Their baguettes, round loafs and petite olive bread loads are deelish! Their fruit tart is a favorite in our family, as well as their cinnamon morning buns. They even come in mini-size. They also take cash money as well as cards. Love this bakery, always a treat to visit while in the Rockridge.
