When I tell you this place is so good I love everything about here the food the people and the atmosphere I always meet a new friend and get a lot more history in Oakland and how much of a staple in the community this bakery truly is I love the cookies , pizza of the day, soup of the day , fresh sauces ,fresh dough , fresh salad . Just endless possibilities.

Went in with a friend, place was busy but the line was kept moving at an efficient pace. Absolutely delicious food- I had a breakfast roll, this delicious cinnamon-sugar coated bread that was both delicious and extremely texturally satisfying. Also had a slice of their pizza of the day. Thin, crisp crust. Managed to feel healthy without tasting healthy.

Incredible pastries and crazy delicious thin crust sourdough crust pizza. Long lines but they move fast. They do have cheese pizza for the kiddos. The light bake option for the pizzas is brilliant if you're not eating it right away.

Very good Bakery with a fantastic choice gluten-free cookies, cakes, bread, buns, bagels, croissants, pain au chocolate, crackers, donuts, cinnamon roles,… Nice modern and trendy atmosphere and great bakery staff. We recommend as a must go in case you need to rely on gluten-free, celiac safe fresh made products. Prices are high but the value of the products are also high. The pain au chocolate and the croissants have been our favorites. Sehr zu empfehlen für glutenfreie frisch hergestellte Backwaren für Menschen, die auf Zöliakie sichere Produkte angewiesen sind.

Wow! Top quality gluten free baked goods with great mouth feel/texture, flavor, and variety. Everything from dainty cookies to custom cakes, hot breakfast and lunch sandwiches. There are tables inside and benches outside to enjoy the food along with a range of hot & cold beverages. If you’ve been to their San Francisco Ferry Terminal shop, you’ve only experienced a tiny part of what Mariposa offers. Hopefully they will figure out how to provide delivery service soon.

When you have a gluten-free person in your life, this is a MUST! So many breads and pastries. I had the Mediterranean pizza, and it was the best and most unique pizza I've had! My daughter had the chicken empanada and agreed the best she's had! On the pricey end of some things but reasonable for most.

The best bakery / patisserie in Berkeley. I love their croissant, morning bun, brioche, baguette and sourdough a lot. Falling love with them 36 years ago when I first move to this area. Went back to them for a good croissant has become a regular routine in the last 10 years since I’ve moved to other cities. Surprisingly, their flavors and service are all the same as always. Worth to go extra miles and pay the expensive toll fee to cross the Bay Bridge for the quality. BTW, they make great pies with fresh seasonal fruits from the area, like persimmon, figs, kiwi etc.. And, it’s all good!

It is a 7 min walk from the comic book store to this sweet store. I ate a mini red velvet cupcake and a seasonal pumpkin chocolate chip bread. Both were not overly sweet or moist. Staff was friendly and patient while I took my time deciding what I wanted. Nice clean store too. Parking in downtown Oakland, ha ha, if you are lucky.

Some of the best seeded sourdough baguettes in the Bay Area. Fresh buttery croissants, decadent cookies and rugula. Thei almond & fruit tarts are a must try. Excellent service.
