If you haven’t been to Bakesale Betty, you’re missing out on something truly special. I ordered the apple rhubarb crumble pie and the strawberry shortcake, and both were absolutely phenomenal. What stood out most was the balance — not overly sweet, but rich in flavor and incredibly fresh. The crumble topping on the pie had just the right crunch, and the filling was perfectly tart and comforting. As for the strawberry shortcake, it was hands-down the best I’ve ever had — light, fluffy, and full of real strawberry flavor without being sugary. I’ve had my fair share of desserts, but these two stand out as some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re anywhere near Oakland!.

Bake sale Betty…… Mmmm Mmmmm DELICIOUS! this place gets packed and busy and the operation time is limited, so if you go there, it may have a long line, but they will get the orders in and out real quick. The chicken is tender and crispy, the slaw has a little spice since it has jalapeño’s in it but it’s a nice blend. If they have the strawberry short cake… GET IT!! ITS HELLLLLLLLLAAAAAA GOOD HAHAHA.

Pretty much the best Fried Chicken sandwich you can get anywhere. Their desserts are seasonal so you aren’t guaranteed to get the one you want, but if at all possible try to go when the Bread Pudding is in season; that’s their best dessert. If you're ever in the east bay, i highly recommend you check it out.

IKE'S LOVE & SANDWICHES REVIEWS

Everybody loves Ike's Love Sandwiches...everybody! So after I dropped off the Flamethrower and extra tanks of napalm to my pal Honipus Jones up there on Broadway Terrace I headed straight there for one of those famous footlong hot ham and cheese on a french baguette....Man-O-Man was it good! 5 stars all day long.

Great sandwiches including a HUGE vegan menu. They have gluten free/vegan bread as an option also for those that prefer it. Order ahead since it might take a bit of time to get the sandwiches made.

Hands down the best sandwiches in the Bay Area. The Matt Cain is especially fantastic. So glad to have this gem here!

Loved the ham and meatball with egg. Bread was super crunchy and soft all at the same time. Sandwich was cheap,full of flavor, and delicious. Also got the shredded pork which was just meh and the shrimp app which was different. The Vietnamese coffee is not overly sweet and liked it a lot. The area is about what you would expect, but it was fine going mid day. Place was busy, but the line moves quick and there was plenty of street parking at 1pm on a Friday right out front. Egg with meatball was not a combo I was expecting, but the 2 flavors we’re delicious together. Would return. Cash and credit card accepted (3.9% fee for credit).

Best Banh mi ever. The line was so long but the service was fast. $5.50 per sandwich. Other food was good too. There is a parking lot behind the building in case you cannot find parking. They do have an updated hours. They open from Sunday to Friday from 7:30 to 3ish pm. After couple months, I finally came again and they are still as good as before.
