ST. LEO THE GREAT CATHOLIC CHURCH REVIEWS
Catholic church with old World charm and beautiful stained glass windows. Priests are just wonderful guides, patient and attentive to needs. Homilies are well prepared, priests are often seen in prayer on off hours and communion is offered by the priests. A holier approach in the area. Organ is at the baI come here often when in town to visit family. The church itself is beautiful, the congregation is large, and the preaching is consistent and steeped in Catholic tradition. I appreciate the short (~45 minute) low Masses at 7:30am to give me more time to visit family and travel on Sunday. On the other hand, later Masses and those on holy days are particularly beautiful and reverent, with a great music director. Parking can be somewhat tricky, so I recommend arriving a little early.ck of the church in the loft area where the choir sings the hymns
The church was truly breathtaking, and the experience was deeply enriching. The congregation's respectful demeanor, combined with the celebrant's profound reverence for the Mass and unwavering devotion to the liturgy, was truly refreshing. The church's architecture and meticulous care it receives only magnify its beauty. Though this was just a daily Mass, I eagerly anticipate returning for a Sunday service.
St. Leo's reminds me of the churches before the new modern church look. There is beauty as elegant as old European Churches and Cathedrals. Warm with a feeling you're close to God. Friendly as well as family oriented.

HOME MORAVIAN CHURCH REVIEWS
The surrounding grounds of this historic church in Winston-Salem, NC is a beautiful and pieceful place.to visit. The graveyard there is referred to as "God's Acre". The Morvians have a unique set of beliefs about equality in death which translates in the "look" of their gravesites. They all have the same stones, flat to the ground, none stand out from the other, as you see, we are all equal and.the same in God's eyes in death. Many people go to walk the grounds to enjoy the piece that just seems to encompass the entire place. You can visit this beautiful church and learn about their worship and teachings. The Moravians are the first Protestants, pre-dating the Lutherans by 100 years. It is in the Old Salem area of Winston-Salem, NC. I lived there years ago and loved going there so much. Old Salem is so full of history. You could spend days there so see all of the individual sites, historic buildings, ole time shops and various nooks and items to explore. It is so worth a trip. Check a NC travel guide or Old Salem websites to find out the best times to visit and when all activities are opened so you can plan a full trip.
Very cool place to visit! What a page from the past... beautifully maintained and not a lot of ground to cover with regard to time spent out of your day. A look into the past, very cool architecture and an educational spot for any age. Enjoy walking around for free as we did, or opt for the pay for tours
We always go for the Moravian love feast on Christmas Eve. They actually have four services. For each of them you need to get there about an hour early to get a seat! There is an overflow area that shows the service on a TV. We love our yearly tradition and recommend it to anyone interested
