I can't thank Big Anchor Roofing and Gutters enough for their great service. I recently had gutters installed by Big Anchor, but due to the recent and severe storms one of the gutters popped loose. I just can't control old mother nature. I called For service and Thor (not from marvel comics) was there with a few hours to assess the problem. Thor came back with the tools needed for the repair. Thor said this repair will be covered under the Big Anchor warranty and apologized for the inconvenience.
Thor is a great example of fantastic customer service. Thor was very friendly, very professional and sincere.
I will call Big Anchor for any roofing needs in the future.
Thor, Thank you for quick and friendly service!!
Phil Fisher.
Big Anchor Roofing and Gutters was great to work with from start to finish. Josh and his crew were super friendly, respectful, and did an amazing job taking care of my home. They kept everything clean and made the whole process easy and stress-free. You can tell they really care about their work and their customers. My roof looks fantastic, and I feel confident knowing it was done right. Overall a positive experience and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone needing roofing and/or gutter work.
Big Anchor replaced both my roof and gutters in April, which was perfect timing and gave me peace of mind with all the rain and storms we’ve had. Thor made the process as easy and painless possible. He presented all information and options without being pushy, and he was communicative, helpful, and knowledgeable every step of the way. Both the roofing crew and gutter crew were punctual, incredibly hardworking, and left my property spotless. Nancy in the front office was on top of ordering materials, scheduling the jobs, and keeping me updated. I’ve told others about my experience with Big Anchor and would happily hire them again.
UPDATE 8/11/2026: The owner has denied causing the damage while also admitting to having to fix the roof due to multiple leaks 4 times for the chimney, 3 times for the spot directly over the living room ceiling where it is collapsing. This company is officially a scam company.
UPDATE 8/04/2026: 4th chimney leak found. I've also included a screenshot of the owner Josh being disrespectful, he has also said the same insults in person but I didn't have proof until he text me recently. DOJ, BBB and other agencies have been notified about the scam these people are running. We can't trust the entire roof work and have to get it redone.
BIG ANCHOR is the right name for this company because they have been a dead weight holding us back since we made the mistake of hiring them.
UPDATE 7/24/2026: Found the leak collapsing our ceiling. Glue isn't holding. Big anchor "fixed" this area twice. On second thought the wood should have been replaced on the original install because it was fixed with tar and still has a large nail in it.
Owner said he will not pay for the damages unless I forfeit my right to sue and remove all complaints and reviews. The ceiling may have asbestos and our home might night be livable for my family much longer.
UPDATE 7/13/2026: Owner ignored mold as evidence of leak. He said there wasn't a leak and was more concerned about how my review affected his business then the damage to my home.
I recorded the leak on video. Mold grew. Owner again ignored my 2nd request to put a trap on my home to protect it from further damage.
Interior ceiling collapsing damage due to leaks from poor workmanship. I had to use drywall glue to prevent the ceiling from collapsing.
Multiple shingles and flashing are coming up in multiple spots. Multiple attempts at repairs done throughout the 6 years of the roof.
Damages caused from poor workmanship were not covered when mentioned to the owner. Although I believe they have to be.
Unknown amount of damages have occurred. Still assessing. At this point I do not believe big anchor is capable of doing the job right and would like a full refund to pay for a new roof by a more capable roofing business.
I would also like them to pay for the damages caused by their poor workmanship. Still assessing the damage. - Mathew
BIG ANCHOR ROOFING & GUTTERS
After reviewing the complaint and our records, we respectfully disagree with the characterization that the roof installed by Big Anchor Roofing was improperly installed or that Mr. Matt is entitled to a new roof or a refund.
Since the roof was installed in 2020, Mr. Matt has contacted our company on multiple occasions regarding different concerns with his property. We have always made every effort to be attentive, responsive, communicate with him, inspect the property, and service whatever issue he was experiencing.
It is important to clarify that not every complaint or concern Mr. Matt brought to our attention was determined to be a roof-related issue. Some of the concerns were related to the gutter system, while other suspected roof leaks were inspected and addressed by our roofing technicians.
When a roofing concern was identified, we serviced it under our warranty. The fact that a roof requires warranty service does not mean that the entire roof is defective or that the entire roof needs to be replaced. Our company has continued to honor the warranty and respond whenever Mr. Matt has contacted us.
We strongly disagree with the statement that Big Anchor has been unresponsive or has failed to protect the property.
When Mr. Matt reported a concern about an active leak and requested that the roof be tarped, we provided same-day service and sent a technician to the property to tarp the roof. We made every effort to respond as quickly as possible, including responding during weather conditions when getting a technician to the property was difficult.
When additional concerns were reported, we performed service within days of the complaint. Josh the owner, and roof technicians have personally gone to the property to inspect the reported concerns, and our crews have returned to perform repairs when necessary.
We have communicated with Mr. Matt throughout this process, honored our warranty obligations, acknowledged the damage he brought to our attention, and remained willing to perform repairs.
In our view, it would be difficult to provide better service than what Big Anchor Roofing has provided in this situation. We have never simply ignored Mr. Matt or refused to address his concerns. We have repeatedly responded, inspected, protected the property, performed warranty work, and attempted to resolve the matter.
Mr. Matt's most recent statements characterize the property as having multiple leaks in multiple areas and state that the entire roof cannot be trusted.
That is not an accurate representation of our service history.
The issues brought to our attention were investigated individually. The property has not had multiple unrelated roof leaks throughout the entire roof requiring multiple roof replacements. Where a roofing issue was identified, it was addressed by our company as part of our warranty and service obligations.
Repeated service to the same general area does not establish that the entire roof was improperly installed. In fact, our willingness to repeatedly return to the property and address a reported concern demonstrates that we have honored our warranty and continued to stand behind our work.
Mr. Matt is now requesting a new roof or a refund because he believes the original roof was installed incorrectly. We respectfully disagree that the service history establishes that the original roof installation was defective or that a complete roof replacement or refund is warranted.
The remaining dispute primarily concerns the living room ceiling.
Big Anchor's position is that the ceiling had existing damage before our company performed the roof replacement. However, even though we disagree with the extent of the responsibility being attributed to our company, we have continued to try to resolve the ceiling issue for Mr. Matt.
We have offered to assist with replacing the ceiling and affected insulation, and we also offered a cash payment so that Mr. Matt could choose another contractor to perform the work.
Mr. Matt has declined our offer of assistance.
We also believe the photographs and documentation Mr. Matt himself has provided are important to consider.
One of the photographs provided by Mr. Matt shows the condition of the ceiling before the current ceiling problems developed. The photograph demonstrates that the ceiling was already showing existing conditions prior to the current deterioration being claimed.
At the same time, Mr. Matt's photographs also show that Big Anchor has continued to respond to the property and attempt to resolve the reported issues. Our position has never been that we would refuse to address a legitimate warranty concern. To the contrary, we have continued to service the roof and have offered to assist with the ceiling even though we dispute that the entire condition of the ceiling was caused by our roof installation.
Big Anchor Roofing & Gutters stands behind the work we performed and respectfully disagrees with Mr. Matt's characterization of our company and our work
We have been responsive throughout this entire matter. We have provided same-day service when needed, including same-day tarp service, performed service within days of reported concerns, communicated with the homeowner, honored our warranty, inspected reported issues, performed repairs, and continued to offer a resolution for the ceiling.
The fact that we have returned to the property multiple times should not be interpreted as an admission that the entire roof is defective. It demonstrates that we have continued to honor our warranty and stand behind our work.
We respectfully request that the Consumer Protection Division consider the complete history and supporting documentation when reviewing this complaint. Big Anchor Roofing does not believe that the information provided establishes that the roof was improperly installed or that Mr. Matt is entitled to a complete roof replacement or refund.
