BULLOCK TEXAS STATE HISTORY MUSEUM REVIEWS

We had such a wonderful experience at the Texas history museum! We visited during the free admission day with our Bank of America cards (they offer it once a month), and I also love that H-E-B sponsors free admission for everyone on the first Sunday of each month — such a great opportunity for families. The museum itself is fantastic. The exhibits are engaging and beautifully presented. We especially loved the dinosaur exhibition — it’s impressive and exciting for both kids and adults. The building is spacious, well organized, and very comfortable to explore. We’re already planning to come back to watch a movie in the theater! Highly recommend visiting — whether you live in Texas or are just visiting Austin.

Really enjoyed the Bullock Texas State History Museum. The NASA exhibit was my favorite—great artifacts and interactive displays about Texas’ role in space exploration. The rest of the museum is well done, with clear storytelling and an excellent IMAX. Staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was clean and easy to navigate. Solid way to spend a few hours in Austin.

A very clean, modern, and organized museum with many exhibitions and content. Overall, this multifloor museum is well located near the downtown area with many other surrounding buildings for sightseeing. The surrounding area was also clean, safe, with ample space and a parking lot underneath the museum for easy access.

Superb museum! Lots of fascinating exhibits which are all nicely presented and well laid out. History covers Texas history all the way from its formation through to modern day (as well as a broader American military history). Great cross section of vehicles to see as well. Absolutely worth a visit if you are in the area and have an interest in military history

Absolutely awesome museum that is FREE..I would have gladly paid to get in. They didnt even ask for a donation. The exhibits are VERY impressive. If you love military history and or Texas this is a MUST. On base so Real ID or military ID needed to get on.

This is a great museum! There was so much history to see and read about. I was impressed with all of it! The men who work there were very helpful, and happy to provide information.

TEXAS SCIENCE & NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM REVIEWS

Took my kids there while doing a visit to the University of Texas. The museum was not busy that Sunday and we git to go pretty much everywhere to view the exhibits. They had a couple of scientists and one I belive was a archeologist so my kids got to ask all the questions and they got answered in a creative and fun way. The fossils area was very entertaining and kids get hands on learning activities. The museum is not big but from what I was told, there is always new exhibitions coming, one was about to be open with fossils and bones from dinosaurs being the main event.

We went on a Sunday and my kids had a blast. They did the scavenger hunt and loved all the interactive games and displays. No trip to a museum would be complete without a trip to the museum store and we got some really great shirts and stuffies. My kids can't wait to check out the other museums at UT soon.

Though some of the exhibits are under construction, we had a very pleasing experience exploring this 4 floor marvel. The art-deco era building houses a full size T-rex, the largest pterosaur ever discovered, and lots of other surprises in store.
