3 Best Indian Restaurants in New York City, NY

The restaurant has a beautiful ambiance, featuring a thoughtfully designed interior that enhances its overall charm. Despite the busy atmosphere, the service was excellent. Our server was attentive, friendly, and incredibly helpful in guiding me through the menu, as I am not very familiar with Indian cuisine. Every dish was flavorful, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented. I particularly enjoyed the Garlic Naan and Chicken Tikka Masala. For dessert, I had Gajrela (Carrot Halwa). Although I’m not a big fan of that particular dessert, I plan to try something different next time. Overall, I would definitely return to explore more of their menu.

Among the best Indian restaurants right now in the City. Posh ambiance. Attentive, polite, professional staff. Tables far enough apart to not have to bump into people. Drinks hit the spot - could be a tad stronger for better balance. Some of their cocktails were delicious - particularly the Raj Royale. Appetizers - rasam, hara bhara kebab, paneer - were superb. Being a Bengali I had to try the daab chingri (shrimp in young coconut) - lip smashingly delicious. The malai halibut and Kerala fish were equally flavorful.

We finally got the chance to try Tamarind, and we were not disappointed with the overall experience. This establishment is one of the nicest Indian restaurants in all of Manhattan. The decor is amazing, the food was spectacular, and the service at the bar today was out of this world. If you're looking for a special Indian meal, Tamarind is the place to go!

Fine dining at its best in midtown NYC. We went to Indian Accent for a dinner recently and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It's not just the food, but the whole experience. From the moment we stepped in to the moment we were handed our coats back, everything was fantastic. We reached there about 20 minutes earlier than our reserved time. It was a busy Saturday night but since they had the space to accommodate us, they welcomed us immediately. they confirmed the notes from our reservation and coats were checked in at the reception counter itself. The ambience is very welcoming and upscale. Our server Shane was very knowledgeable about chef's creations on the menu and very prompt every step of the way in terms of checking in. The food was delicious - very flavorful but not hot spicy. Each of the vegetarian dishes we ordered was finely prepared and presented in a nice manner. The taste, presentation and portion sizes for the food gets 10 out of 5 stars. Each course was spaced out just perfectly in terms of timing to allow us to enjoy the experience without rushing it or waiting too long. We have been to many fine dining restaurants throughout the years and Indian Accent ranks amongst the best.

Absolutely amazing food and amazing food presentation. Each dish had so much flavor ! Short ribs were so tender. The small shot glass of pumpkin soup was served nice and warm and I could have had a whole bowl of that! Desserts were amazing. Our waiters were super nice, will definitely be coming back and bringing our friends!
