I do not have the words to describe how incredible the food was. Everything we ordered I would die for. We went as a small group, spent a lot of money, and shared everything. Top favorites were mussel shooters (with quail egg), gyoza, the nigiri sampler, oysters, and an off menu roll our stellar server recommended to us. If you drink you have to try the Ocean Stout or the locally made Sake.
Love love love this place! Best sushi in Utah for sure! If you are planning to come here plan a few hours in advance, they are very popular and don’t take reservations that is the only down side, other than that food and service 200%.
Fabulous food here. Was seated at the bar right in front of the sushi chefs and had a great experience. Well worth it.

The interior has a modern Asian flair, and the exterior resembles a Japanese garden. Their outdoor seating is pretty spacious. Sapa has all of the classic rolls that you can find on just about any menu, and they have a great selection of fun and different ones. This downtown eatery serves everything from Thai noodle dishes to famous Americanized sushi rolls to unique house creations. One of the recommended dishes in their sushi rolls is the Mex roll. They have a fantastic bar in the back with anything you could imagine. Their chili duo is a signature sapa sushi roll made with tempura shrimp, escolar, tuna, crab, ginger, and cucumber garnished with house-made chili oil. Best Sushi in Salt Lake This by far is the best sushi in Salt Lake City. Compared to other, more expensive places- their rolls more than 5 pieces and every roll is packed full of flavor. It is a bit of a drive but, well worth the drive for us!!.
I suspect someone in the kitchen has an art background, because virtually every dish at Sapa is artfully conceived and presented. The saying goes that we eat first with our eyes—and everything at Sapa looks delectable. What surprised me—especially given those early reports from less-than-enthusiastic customers—was that everything I tasted at Sapa was superb.
Damn good sushi and saki. Be mindful this place requires 21 and up though. Outdoor seating is pretty spacious. Nice decor. Very friendly staff. I ordered Omakase which is just asking the chef to prepare what he wants for you. Absolutely delicious! Will definitely return here.

I absolutely love this place so much! Amazing food and a very chill atmosphere while still being super classy. My favorite rolls have to be the Romeo and Juliet, and the firebird. I also love the katsu chicken plate.
This place has some of the most unique sushi I've ever had and definitely all delicious. The service was lightning fast and we definitely enjoyed the experience and food. Don't miss out on the Dracula and the Firebird rolls.
Easily one of our favorite restaurants in Salt Lake! The staff is always so friendly and inviting! Couple of our favorite rolls are the Dracula, firebird, and the sushi vampire! If your looking for a nice dinner date that won’t break the bank this is your place.
