Best Sushi in Pike Place area AND THE best happy hour place (yes, they deserve both titles). Vibe, quality, and service are all there. Get there between 4-6pm and it's an even sweeter deal! Don't let the unassuming entrance fool you. Get here and get here often!

Umi is my favorite place when it comes to sushi. Their sushi is always fresh and of superior quality. I’m not a fan of rolls so often go for their sashimi and nigiri options. If you’re in the mood for cooked fish, their Yaki Udon is perfect with sea food.

Without a doubt, my favorite sushi restaurant in Seattle. The food is fresh, tastes incredible and the service is unmatched. Always a great night out. Happy hour is awesome!

Japonessa Sushi Cocina is a fantastic spot for sushi and sashimi lovers. The food is fresh and flavorful, with creative rolls and high-quality sashimi that stand out. Its prime location makes it convenient, and the staff are friendly and attentive, enhancing the dining experience. While the prices are slightly on the higher side, the quality justifies the splurge. Overall, a great place to satisfy your sushi cravings—highly recommend giving it a try.

Visiting from Canada, found this place later on a Saturday night. It was fairly busy but we were seated pretty quickly. The atmosphere was nice, our server was great and our meal was fantastic. Prices are more than reasonable and the sushi was extremely fresh and delicious. Everything we ordered we thought was outstanding. Highly recommend to anyone in the area downtown Seattle. So good.

Work trip to Seattle and no rental, so DoorDash it is! First meal was not disappointing at all! Delicious sushi, but my favorite was the short ribs! Incredibly flavorful!

Wonderful sushi. Just delicious and one of the best sushi meals I have had. While I like sushi, I would not say I have been to many places that stand above. I have been to a few decent places and this was tasty. The fish was just delicious. While the atmosphere/decor was just fine, The service was very nice and friendly with touches that went above and beyond to show hospitality. Really enjoyed my first time. Was quite impressed.

The hostess was so gracious to get me in even though I didn’t have a reservation. It was a lovely dining experience for five course omakase. it was a five star experience because the waitress is serving hospitality and culture in a way that makes you feel at home. Truly taken care of. It was such a fun dining experience. Everything was delicious. My favorite part was dessert.

High quality sushi with a top quality service. The chef’s choice consisting of 19 pieces was delicious and more than enough for dinner. Unfortunately you must order this course before ordering any individual piece.
