Study Smarter is amazing! Joel and his team of highly skilled tutors and academic support specialists provided the hands-on, intensive support to my son that he needed to succeed. We have used Study Smarter for middle school academic support, and for college prep work around essay preparation, application assistance, and specific class tutoring. Not only did staff here ensure that my son nailed the ACT, he got accepted to multiple colleges. Staff also taught him the value of asking for help when he needed it most - boosting his confidence, giving him the skills he needs to thrive as a young adult, and saving the parent-child relationship in the process. I have and will continue to refer Study Smarter to friends and colleagues who need academic support for their children. My son actually looked forward to his sessions with Study Smarter, and now knows that seeking out help and learning from it is a gift.

Study Smarter was terrific in helping our daughter (and her parents!) through the college application process. My daughter attended Mathnasium during the summer between 8th and 9th grade. She was struggling to meet grade-level math requirements and we were very concerned that she wouldn’t be ready for freshman math. I’ll never forget my daughters and my conversation after her first week working with Mathnasium tutors, I asked how her sessions were and she said “amazing” to my surprise! I asked if she was understanding the topics that she had previously struggled with and she exclaimed “Yes, the way the tutor explains everything makes so much sense!” Needless to say we are so happy with Mathnasium and how much it’s helped our daughter. It’s great to know we have a local resource that we can turn to whenever she needs additional help with math.

My son really enjoys going here and his math has improved. The staff is consistent, the communication is strong, the scheduling system is easy to use and the rewards keep him very motivated. Highly recommend if you have a student who needs some extra assistance or who is already great at math and wants more challenge.

My 8 year old daughter was struggling to understand some second grade math skills. Now that she goes to Mathnasium twice a week she is doing much better in school. I also love that she is excited every time she has a session, she is always so enthusiastic about going to learn more math skills. I would definitely recommend Rockridge Mathnasium for anyone whose kids aren’t feeling very confident when it comes to math.
