These three letters are my short version of this review: "OMG"! Now the long version: We are so thrilled to have this chair that has been in the family for a long time with the completely new upholstery and rebuilding of the frame and springs. We didn't have any "before" photos to share but if you had seen it, like me you would have called 1-800 JUNK to have it hauled off. We are so glad that we didn't do that. The frame of this chair is far stronger than the cheap garbage you buy in most of today's so-called "furniture" stores. Jeff & his staff of workers did an amazing job, transforming this chair into something we are proud to have in our main family room, in full view of everyone. We are so happy with the job they performed; we sent him away with six antique dining room chairs to be reupholstered, using needlepointed seat covers my mother made for them about 40 years ago. People like jeff and the staff at Custom Furniture Works are very special and we want to do everything we can to get the word out. Who knows, we may even find more gems in the family to have reupholstered. 1/25/25 - Update.....added photos of our dining room chairs reworked with the affore mentioned needlepoint seat covers & updated & stronger seats. Lovely!

PHENOMENAL results!!!! PHENOMENAL customer service!!!! I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Custom Furniture Works. When my parents passed away, I took several pieces of furniture that have been in our family for a long time to them. They coordinated a pickup of the furniture with me that included stopping at my home and my parents' home. They made all the pieces look better than I ever remember them looking! If you have a piece of furniture that is special to you, put it in the good hands of this family-owned business. The owner and his son delivered all my furniture back to me and did an impeccable job getting everything into our house

I cannot say enough about these people! Needed my favorite sofa I have ever owned repaired because one of my foster pups decided to tear it up a little. Did a google search and found this company. On a whim I thought I will try them and see. Extraordinary work and customer service. I felt immediate trust with them. So down-to-earth. I actually can’t wait til I need another piece repaired! Service like theirs just doesn’t exist anymore these days. What a gem they are! So happy I found this place! Thank you so much guys!

Gomez Upholstery came recommended by Brian at Ethan Allen in Chesterfield — and I am so grateful! Gomez re-upholstered 2 chairs w/ottomans for us in the last 6 months and I couldn’t be more pleased. Kiara, Carl and all the staff are professional, courteous, and helpful. The craftsmanship is impeccable and the prices are fair and reasonable for the level of quality. I appreciate their attention to detail, great communication, and their honest and accurate assessment of the repairs and the time frame needed to finish the work. Top marks from me!

I had a chase cushion that was really worn. The rest of the sectional was in good shape. I decided to try getting a repair and re-stuff. I am so glad I chose Gomez! They did a fantastic job!! The small tear on the back is beautifully repaired and the new stuffing is perfect. The customer service was excellent as well. I highly recommend them!!!

Our leather power recliner couch was still in fantastic shape but the foam wore out. We called around to local furniture upholstery stores to have new foam installed. Most places stated they would not restore a power recliner. We contacted Gomez Upholstery and they were able to help us out. Fantastic job was performed. The couch is comfortable again. Lucia was wonderful to work with. She responded to my message quicky, sent a very reasonable bid almost immediately, and came to pick the piece up at our home. She offered great design advice, and was in communication throughout the process. The invoice/payment part was very easy. And MOST importantly, the work that she put into a very important chair for my family was impeccable. She recovered a 100yr old leather chair with care, even fixing a broken part that had been broken for 40 years. I would trust Lucia with any of my future upholstery needs. She is talented, reliable and great to work with. If you have been sitting on a piece because you don't know who to turn to, turn to Lucia and her team. My only regret is that I did not call her sooner, because this chair has been on my "list" for more than six years.

Lucia repaired and recovered our leather sofa and matching leather loveseat. She did a beautiful job for nearly half of what the closest competitor quoted me, including pick up and delivery. Her turnaround time was nearly 10 days as the competition stated it would take 12 weeks.....She really did a great job for me

Lucia Landa reupholstered an antique chair for me. They were very knowledgeable. They were very efficient. The craftsmanship was excellent. They also helped us choose the fabric. We felt it was a good value for the price.
