The staff at Icon Downtown Durham is by far extremely helpful, compassionate, caring, and they really want you to have the best experience while you live here. The maintenance crew also amazing, they’re always there to help their fast and efficient. It’s very helpful & convenient to have onsite laundry machines if you don’t have a unit with hookups/machines, and the cost of better than going to the laundromat. They have been making lots of improvements to the units, and want it to feel like a true community. The location is excellent with lots of shopping options for errands and leisure.

Icon Downtown is the best place to live! I spent over a year here and had a great experience. It’s an excellent choice for families with kids, offering a playground and a safe environment. The safety standards are high, water is provided at no cost, and the heating system is excellent during winter. The office administration is highly responsive and cooperative.

I recently toured this place and was really impressed by my experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism by Brittany, the community manager. She was very kind and took the time to guide me through every step of the application process, sitting down with me to ensure the application was done properly and submitted. It's rate to come across that level of patience and willingness to help in this day and I truly appreciate it. The home itself was clean, well maintained, and had everything I needed. I love the gym and pool area and the fact that it's open all year long. I am truly excited to make this my new home next month!!

After searching through 10+ communities in Durham, I came across Cortland by chance. Very welcoming staff, provided a tour without an appointment. I applied same day. So far, maintenance has been extremely responsive, staff has been very helpful. Apartment is beautiful and community is well maintained. Highly recommend!
