CAFE DU MONDE REVIEWS
Cafe Du Monde is amazing! Before coming to New Orleans for a trip, everyone had suggested we try it, and it was completely worth it. The Beignets were absolutely delicious! We got to visit the cafe twice during our trip and both times was great! They do have an option to dine in or do take out.
simple, coffee and beignets. Have a bite of the beignet, put the extra powdered sugar in your coffee, dunk the other part of the beignet in the coffee and take a bite, sip the coffee then repeat. You'll easily finish a dozen here. The coffee au lait, it's too smooth and good
The history of Cafe Du Monde goes back a loooong way and if your into history and culture you can come experience the past in this quaint cafe near the French Market. The perfect place to sit and take a break from your tourist excursion.

CAFE AMELIE REVIEWS
A really nice restaurant in French Quarter, very very popular, reservation is must. Not very comfortable for large groups, as gets cramped. But for smaller group or couples it’s an enjoyable dine-in experience. Large groups also don’t fit in patio area. Their menu is concise with some nice choices. Brunch menu is different from dinner menu. I loved the shrimp and grits. Great taste, excellent presentation. But little smaller in size for the price. The dessert is also really good. I didn’t like the rose garden mocktail much, the taste wasn’t my favorite.
This quaint, semi-hidden gem in the French Quarter is absolutely delightful! My shrimp and grits were cooked to perfection, the gumbo was perfectly seasoned, the drinks were creative and charming, and the dessert was positively scrumptious! We had a reservation, were seated promptly in the courtyard, had a sweet lady as our server, and very much enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. It was charming, beautiful, and a positively enjoyable experience.
I always enjoy the outdoor dining at Cafe Amelie. Please note that they have moved to 900 Royal Street, the prior location of Petite Amelie and I think are as good as ever. The courtyard setup is different but they do still have outside seating in a private courtyard. The food is still good and the service is friendly.
