NIRVANA INDIAN CUISINE REVIEWS

Nirvana lives up to its name! We stopped by after a day at the Jazz Fest and were offered a special Jazz Fest menu, which we decided to try. We chose the Masala-crusted salmon appetizer, which was a generous portion for two people, and really delicious. The two entries we selected were the baby eggplants (baby bhenghan bartha); and the paneer Manchurian. Both were very good, but the paneer was one of the most delicious Indian dishes we’ve ever experienced. Both came with ample fragrant jasmine rice. We selected the garlic naan and the rice pudding for dessert. All were generous portions, especially given the price. The place is beautiful, the servers friendly, efficient, and deservedly proud of their restaurant and the food they are preparing. So glad we stumbled in!

Absolutely love eating here! My wife and I have come here several times. We usually get the same table and Sherwyn is our server. Impeccable service! The food is delicious and I would highly recommend. This visit was for dinner on my wife’s birthday. What a great birthday!

A Stellar Culinary Surprise – A Must-Visit in NOLA I wandered into SAFFRON NOLA on a whim, and it turned out to be one of the best dining decisions I’ve made in a long time. Sat at the bar and was immediately welcomed by the warm, inviting atmosphere and attentive staff. Started off with a perfectly balanced gin cocktail — refreshing and expertly crafted — and it set the tone for the rest of the meal. The standout dish? The lamb vindaloo. Rich, flavorful, and cooked to absolute perfection. It had just the right amount of heat and depth, and every bite was a reminder of why this place has such a strong reputation. SAFFRON NOLA blends bold flavors with elegant execution, and the experience from start to finish was top-notch. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, don’t miss it — this place is something special.

Wow. 10/10 experience with my party of 4. Highly recommend making reservations, online is accurate. The greetings, the venue, atmosphere were very elegant & cozy. We ordered (2) Apps, the Shrimp Bombay & Crab Pudha. (2) Main Khyber Lamb Chops & Chicken Biryani. The drinks really also tasty. The service was lovely. The owner greeted us out, overall it was a great dine.

What a unique place! Definitely get the tableside chaat. It's delicious! The wine selection is also top notch. We loved everything we tasted!

First time here and I am super impressed by how friendly the staff. Our server was very attentive and took care of us. I had the butter chicken with garlic naan and it was very satisfying and delicious. Definitely come check this place out if you’re wanting an authentic Indian cuisine!

First time here & we loveeee Indian Food ! This place was so good 10/10 !!!! If you like spicy, ask for extra spicy for your entrees they don't play with the spice Service was great as well !!!!!!

My family loved the food at Taj Mahal Indian cuisine. Both veg and non-veg options were great! Ambiance was elegant with artwork from India. We will definitely revisit this restaurant on our future New Orleans trips.
