Hands down the most delicious food ever! We originally reached out because I had tried their food at a wedding I attended and once our planning got started I knew exactly who I needed to reach out to. Ovy, Ati, and their team were extremely kind and SO easy to work with. Our tasting completely blew us away! Every bite was incredible, and our bellies felt full for what honestly felt like 2 weeks after. On the wedding day, the food was nothing short of spectacular. We received SO many compliments from our guests about how delicious everything was. Every dish was perfectly prepared and absolutely flavorful. I still dream about their butternut squash soup and wish I could eat it every single day! If you're a foodie like us and want your wedding guests raving, your taste buds celebrating, this is your team. Truly amazing from start to finish!

We had Ovy cater our daughter’s Quinceañera and we were all amazed!!! The food is top notch, delicious, and beautiful. My guest loved the food so much! And if my guest are pleased, I am a happy. The whole experience with Ovy’s catering was phenomenal. Not to say the least, the staff was amazing at our event. Everyone was so attentive and cared so much about all my guest. If I could give them more than a five star review, I would definitely do it.

My husband and I used Ovy Catering for our wedding on 11/1/2025, and we were beyond happy with our choice! Our venue provided a list of preferred vendors, and after attending three tastings with different caterers, we chose Ovy—and we are so glad we did.

My wife and I got married 11 years ago and used Blue Plate as our caterer. Despite the time that's passed, we still regularly get compliments from guests about the quality of the food and level of service from the Blue Plate team. At the time, Missy handled our event and was spectacular in every regard. She worked with both families to put together a menu, allowed us to do two tastings to make sure that everything was just right, and made sure that everything went smoothly on the day of the event. The food itself was excellent. I still regularly have family members compliment the appetizer plate that Missy and her culinary team put together. Several members of my family in the restaurant business also complimented the quality of the food, and the logistical precision with which is was served (see below). For our families, getting the food right was critical, and Missy + Blue Plate delivered. In addition to the menu itself, Missy and her team provided a high level of catering service. For example, she made a point of assigning someone to make sure my wife and I were able to eat during the reception. She also coordinated with the servers to make sure that all guests at a table received their food at the same time (vs. the more common practice of food getting served in a rolling fashion, which can leave some people waiting while others eat or dishes arriving at different temperatures), and made sure that vegetarian and vegan guests received their food at the same time as everyone else.

OMG this company is Amazing!! I am Celiac and GR food can sometimes be frustrating to find at events. Blue Plate just catered a corporate event on a river boat that I was in attendance in. This was some of the best food I have had, GF or otherwise. They had everything labeled for GF, DF Veg and I could eat 90-95% of the offerings. They had crackers on a separate plate, meaning GF could enjoy the cheese and antipasto plates! The west coast pin wheels were one of the tastiest treat I have had and they were on an amazing GF wrap. GF or not I would recommend Blue Plate for your Chicago event hands down. They understand food, flavour profiles, food allergies and customer service. They are top notch. You won’t be disappointed.

I cannot rave enough about Blue Plate. They catered both a brunch and dinner for my daughters' bat mitzvah this past weekend. The food was all delicious and the service was impeccable. Stephanie and Claire truly went above and beyond in the planning process, helping me to think of all the little details and coordinate with other vendors. We all felt totally pampered.
