It welcomes 500,000 visitors per year, and it is the 69th most popular city park in the United States. The Park offers a scenic atmosphere between rolling hills, open meadows, and Beargrass Creek Valley woodlands. The fall of the park turns beautiful colors. Runners can enjoy the many challenging climbs; bikers and hikers have attractive trail options and plenty of spaces for dogs and children to play. Cherokee Park also has a 2.4-mile Scenic Loop that winds through the park's pastoral setting.
