“Waverly Hills Sanatorium is a magnificent example of early 20th-century Tudor Gothic Revival-style architecture. It is a former sanatorium located in southwestern Louisville, Jefferson County, Kentucky. The sanatorium opened in 1910 as a two-story hospital to accommodate 40 to 50 tuberculosis patients. It was closed in 1961 due to the success of the antibiotic drug streptomycin, which significantly reduced the need for such a facility. The Waverly Hills Historical Society was founded to preserve the building and promote awareness of its history, architectural value, and impact on the local community. The site offers paranormal guided tours, historical daytime tours, public paranormal overnight investigations, and private overnight investigations.”
