LOUISVILLE SLUGGER MUSEUM & FACTORY REVIEWS

It's definitely a home run activity if you're visiting Louisville. I was blown away by the wealth of knowledge I gained about the iconic Louisville Slugger bats. The tour took us on a fascinating journey from the tree to the MLB, showcasing each step of the bat-making process in the factory. I was amazed by the craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into creating these legendary bats. The historical facts and anecdotes shared throughout the tour were great. I loved learning about the history of the Louisville Slugger brand and its connection to baseball's greatest players. To top it all off, I received a lovely mini bat souvenir at the end of the tour. We really enjoyed the batting cage, too. Everything was very nice.

Not very big but very informative. We loved it. The tour allows you a first hand look at the ins/outs of bat making. Wheelchairs available for use if needed at no cost. Staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable. You do receive small Louisville bats at the end of tour which my husband loved. They do have batting cages, a bat vault, and a section that shows how fast pitches occur. No food/beverage for purchase. Takes about 1 hour, maybe 2 if you are really taking your time. I definitely recommend.

We bought tour tickets and really enjoyed the tour guide. My husband bought a personalized bat that only took 15 mins to finish. Lots of neat exhibits, a small batting cage, and of course.. the giant bat outside! There is a parking garage with an entrance straight into the museum. It was a good time.

LOUISVILLE ZOO REVIEWS

This zoo is an absolute treasure and a shining beacon of inspiration! We visited during their “off-season hours” and discovered some areas were closed, but that didn't hold us back. The animals were radiating vibrant energy, and I was deeply moved by the awe-inspiring landscapes. In some areas, we felt completely enveloped, as if we were walking through a thriving jungle or forest. Highly recommended, it's a must-see destination that will leave you feeling uplifted and inspired.

I have been going to this zoo all my life & I’ve had a membership for over 25 years. I still come here twice a week with two of my now adult children. It’s a nice place to walk & get familiar with the animals. It’s fun watching things grow & evolve, wether it’s new exhibits, temporary pop ups, new animals, babies growing up, or just the seasons changing.

It was a great experience for the family. They had an amazing gorilla sanctuary. The orangutan is funny! Few hrs of walking to see many amazing animals. We were very impressed with this park.

KENTUCKY DERBY MUSEUM REVIEWS

Our visit to Churchill Downs was absolutely unforgettable! We purchased tickets in advance and were glad we did as it got busy. Thankfully, because of purchasing the tickets online, we didn’t have to wait in line. The new release video in the 360° room blew me away and I couldn’t stop smiling the entire time. It was so immersive and beautifully done, and I couldn’t believe it was included with the museum ticket. Such a great value! The museum itself was full of fun, interactive experiences. We had a blast doing the mock betting activity, placing pretend bets and watching a race to see how our picks turned out. There was also a mechanical horse race video game where you could sit on a horse and race. It was such a unique and fun touch! On top of all that, it was so fun learning about the rich history of Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby, and it really brought the whole experience to life. The outdoor grounds tour was astounding, and I couldn’t believe it was included in the museum ticket price too! Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, sharing so many fascinating stories and insights. We even got lucky and saw two horses practicing while we were there. This was an unexpected highlight! To top it all off, the gift shop was super cute and had a great selection of souvenirs. From start to finish, it was an incredible visit, and I’d recommend it to anyone heading to Louisville.

We had a great tour guide name Ferguson. Very knowledgeable and had many funny stories. The tour moved at a good pace considering how big our group was. We got to see so much. He allowed time for us to take pictures and questions and answers throughout the tour. Amazing tour.

Great museum and tour! Make sure to do the tour and museum together. We did the 7:00 AM tour two weeks before the Derby and were able to see the horses practice! What a great time, watching the sun come up, the mist rising from the track, and the horses running.
