W NEW YORK TIMES SQUARE REVIEWS

I stayed at the W this last week. The location is prime right in Times Square close to a bunch of places to eat a bunch of bars the theater where we saw our Broadway show was right around the corner. Easy access walking to a lot of different attractions easy to get a cab quick subway probably like a 15 minute walk to Central Park. The staff were very accommodating. This is not a five star hotel but it definitely had five star service room was clean and quite large for New York standards. The elevators were fast and they have a cute little bar in the lobby that has music and drinks. The restaurant Caminos downstairs has really good Mexican food and I’m from California and Hispanic so I thought it was going to be trash but it was great. Coming from someone who always stay in five star luxury hotels I was very pleased with my stay here so were my sisters. The service was great. One thing to keep in mind it’s right next to Times Square so it can be noisy at night at times because of the lively atmosphere

Overall a solid hotel experience! I am rounding up to 5 stars. Our room was upgraded and the staff was very accommodating. I would say this isn’t the usual W standards I have experienced but I was pleasantly surprised after reading other reviews. The complimentary breakfast was not the standard W experience - it was an option of coffee/tea/pastries/cereal but anything else is extra.

We stayed at The New Yorker, A Wyndham Hotel for three nights to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and it was an excellent choice! The hotel's location is unbeatable—right across from Penn Station, which was perfect since we arrived by train. With several subway stations nearby, exploring the city was effortless, and many attractions are just a short walk away. As history buffs, we really enjoyed the hotel's rich past and its intriguing connection to Nikola Tesla, which added a unique charm to our stay. Our room was small but comfortable and met our needs perfectly. Overall, the hotel offered exactly what we were looking for: convenience, history, and character. We’d highly recommend it for anyone seeking a central spot that truly captures the essence of New York City.

The famous New Yorker hotel on 34th street! I was really excited about booking this hotel for my trip to NYC because is really famous and the Art Deco style is my favourite! The whole hotel feels like a time machine that sends you back to the golden age of the 1920’s… I likes that a lot but I would like to be honest and say that they should invest a bit in restoring the interior so we can enjoy it even more! Customer service is great, they gave me a late check out and helped me with whatever I needed.

We stayed as a family of 2 adults and 3 kids in the Terrace Family Suite. It was our first time to NYC and the New Yorker was the perfect hotel. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The beds were super comfortable and we really appreciated the efforts to preserve the original feel of the place whilst maintaining a modern touch. The staff were always polite yet professional, and location wise this place cannot be beaten. Highly recommended for first time families to NYC!

Loved this hotel. Very busy at reception at times,so maybe another employee or two to deal with check in/check out. Very clean room and all the staff are very friendly and lovely. However 2 employees made my time great here. Robert E is calmness personified and also very professional when dealing with everyone waiting for a table for breakfast and also Warren our server for breakfast. Both are a credit to the hotel and i would like to nominate them for special recognition for being so good at their jobs.

The staff are wonderful! Jason was extremely helpful to change my parents room to another room that was closer to the elevator. He is very efficient. Caroline in concierage services is great as well in trying her best to get me a microwave on this extremely busy Thanksgiving weekend in NYC.

For the price, it’s a five star hotel if you’re looking for a good place to stay on a family trip. Centrally located, reasonably priced, with a modern and clean room. My only knock would be the size of the double beds. They seem smaller than full size beds.
