From start to finish, my husband and I had a great experience with BrightLife Electric. Communication, responsiveness, and expertise were all top-notch. On Dec 23, owner Shannon arrived on time to give us a bid on the various electrical tasks we wanted done. Not only was she knowledgeable and efficient, but she also suggested several options which we had not considered and appreciated hearing. Within a few days we received a very reasonable bid, which included a military discount (thank you for your patriotism, Shannon!). On Jan 20, 2026, Stephen arrived a few minutes early and went over the list of tasks with my husband, making sure everyone understood the particulars clearly. Stephen mentioned that a wire might not be able to be run down a wall from the attic and explained he might need to cut a hole in the wall. After a call to Shannon (to which she responded right away), she gave us a few options about the sizing of the hole, if it was needed. After everything was agreed upon, Stephen got to work. A short time later, Joe arrived, and lucky him, he was the one who had the honor of climbing into our attic. Before he started, he laid plastic on the floor of our closet (which is where the attic access door can be found) and over all our clothes and shelves so no insulation or other debris would end up on our belongings or carpet. Throughout the process, Stephen and Joe were friendly, efficient, and happy to answer questions. They cleaned up as they went along and did a final cleanup at the end of the day. An added bonus was supporting a woman-owned business. I would not sacrifice quality work just to support a minority or local business, but if such a business does great work, it is a win-win. If you are looking for a great electrical company, BrightLife should be your first call. UPDATE 2-13-2026: Once again, a great experience with BrightLife! Everything connected to electricity in our backyard stopped working – the pond’s waterfall, lighting, and timers. On Feb 12, 2026, Joe arrived right on time and began checking panel switches and outlets to determine the cause. At first it was a mystery worthy of Sherlock Holmes, but Joe put on his detective hat, braved our crawlspace, and figured it out (it ended up being a GFI switch in a completely unlikely location in relation to anything electrical in the backyard). Thank you! UPDATE 3-11-2026: We had more projects completed by Brightlife on Mar 5 and Mar 11 and we are happy with the result. On Mar 5, Steven added an overhead light and 8 puck lights to our office/den closet and linked it with a wall switch just outside the closet. Stephen suggested putting the puck lights in a different place than we had originally considered, which made the puck light fixture almost invisible while providing all the light. On Mar 11, Joe added a wall switch to the other side of the closet and hard-wired three security cameras.
