SYLVAN LEARNING PORTLAND REVIEWS

Our 11 year old son has been attending Sylvan for year and half to brush up on reading and writing. He went from being slightly behind for grade to slightly ahead and his confidence level around written communication has really increased. The center has been very responsive with communication and regular progress reports. Our son never complains about going in and enjoys the teachers. We will absolutely use this Sylvan center again in the future if we have any other tutoring needs.

My child is loving it!! They create a safe and welcoming learning environment. She looks forward to it every week and comes out with a pep in her step. Her confidence in herself has started to bloom. I have a feeling I'm going to be using Sylvan for years to come.

HUNTINGTON LEARNING CENTER PORTLAND REVIEWS

My family was fortunate to send our son to Huntington Learning Center on NW Laidlaw in Portland to boost his college test scores. The improvement in his test results far exceeded expectations, which I believe helped him earn direct admission to Computer Science at Cal Poly SLO with some merit based scholarships, followed by a successful first job out of college at Google. The staff and systems are highly effective. Our experience is that they provided a customized plan, helped set achievable goals, made it easy to work with them, and delivered meaningful results.

We had an excellent experience working with Trevor at the Huntington Learning Center. He worked with our daughter on SAT and ACT prep, identifying areas for improvement and overall just made her more comfortable taking the tests. He helped her improve her math score, which was her area of weakness and gave her great confidence and support to go in and do her very best. Thank you.

Best experience for my granddaughter! She started behind in her grade level and now has surpassed our expectations. She is doing great. Her self confidence has increased and she actually wants to go to tutoring. Thank you Huntington and Trevor.

I can’t say enough good things about North Avenue Education, and especially about Patrick Miller! From the very beginning, he was patient, encouraging, and extremely knowledgeable. He has a talent for meeting students where they are and helping them address challenges in ways that feel entirely manageable. Patrick is a tireless cheerleader, incredibly responsive, and I can’t imagine anyone better suited to support students on their journey to tackling ADHD challenges.

Both of our kids have benefited significantly from the caring, professional and supportive tutors at North Avenue Education. Patrick M. has been extremely helpful for AP tutoring. He brings out students’ best efforts and makes learning more fun. His energy and enthusiasm for the topic is infectious and the fact that he has taught AP classes is a huge plus.

Patrick is an outstanding mentor. He took a class my son had not passed and motivated him so that now he has a 97% in the class. Patrick is patient, relevant, inspiring and an excellent communicator. I value his teaching methods and am impressed by his skills.
