3 Best Hotels in Portland, OR

This hotel was in a great location with a beautiful view overlooking the river. More impressive, all the employees there were very friendly, pleasant, and helpful, starting with the valet to the front desk to the housekeeping staff. I forgot my designer coat there and didn’t realize it until 12 days later. When I called the hotel, they connected me to their loss/prevention department. I left a message and L. Harris returned my call quickly. She cheerfully tracked down my coat and offered to mail it to me or hold it until someone could pick it up. I am so grateful to have gotten my favorite coat back in such an effortless manner. I was so sad when I realized I had lost it and I thought I was surely not going to see it again since it was almost 2 weeks before I even realized it was missing. Thank you to whoever it was in housekeeping that turned it in and thank you L. Harris for helping me get it back. I can truly say that this hotel operates with integrity and honesty.

Came to Portland for work and this has, without a doubt, been one of the best stays at a Marriott I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. The staff, starting with: the front desk who dealt with many questions and a room change to have the Mt Hood view; the housekeeping staff giving superior service every day, including arrangements of my toiletries in neat order each day and being friendly; the lounge attendants being very diligent in their duties and a pleasure to speak to each morning. The room was comfortable; I loved the beds and the attention to detail in making sure I had a feather-free room. The beds were soft yet firm and I am glad there is a thermostat that is easier to work than others. Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel enough and if work ever brings me back to Portland (or even pleasure travel), this is the hotel I will be staying in.

Great location with amazing views of the river. I enjoy this hotel for the great views and the location. They also have a bar / restaurant on site which is very good. The salmon with pea risotto was excellent! Overall, very good.

My goodness, the best hotel in Oregon! I want to give a major shoutout to Michael front desk and Patrick from concierge. They were incredibly patient with our family and helped us feel welcome. Some of the nicest hotel staff we’ve ever met. These city views are amazing and the rooms are spotless, spacious, and smell nice. Very excited about our breakfast tomorrow.

It was a nice welcome from hotel staff on my arrival. Amina has been really nice and supportive to help me with my preference on the room facilities as I need stay here for more than a week. I finally got a room which I am satisfied with. She is awesome.

Just got married and checked into the Nines and we were instantly taken care of. From valet to checking in with Juan. He upgraded our room and was so welcoming. All the staff was super nice. Loved my stay! The room was BEAUTIFUL and CLEAN.
