Old North Church was founded as a secular, independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization in 1991. The church is the oldest surviving church building in Boston and the most visited historic site since 1775. It has over 150,000 visitors to their site to witness this inspiring and unique homage to independence, a chapel for Italian immigrants built-in 1918, which now serves as the Old North Gift Shop. Old North Church and turning the entire campus into an immersive learning area, the foundation embarked on a master planning process. Their virtual and on-site programs aim to inspire children and adults alike to consider how they can build a more just and equitable world. Each year they welcome over 500,000 visitors to their site to experience this unique and stirring monument to liberty. They also offer both in-person and virtual worship.
