ASTRO DOUGHNUTS & FRIED CHICKEN REVIEWS

One morning before my meetings in DC. I got a chance to walk around the city. One of the places I had saved my phone to try was Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken. The doughnuts were decadent but still delicious. While there, I tried the PB & J donut along with a seasonal pumpkin pie. Both were really good, but the PB & J doughnut alone was worth the trip. I also got an order of chicken tenders. The tinders were crunchy and flavorful.This was definitely a place.I would take my family back to.

This is a funky nice place with a big bar. They have ample seating, the staff was nice however their system was confusing they handed us one of those beeper things to wait on your food and when it beeps you get up and get it. Then they ended up just serving us the food anyway which was odd and we had to order at the bar instead of them asking what we wanted. The chicken was really juicy and their donuts are delicious. We didn’t really have to wait that long for our food to be ready. Good place.

The variety of donuts was so fun to look through and they all looked delicious! I got an Old Bay Fried Chicken Donut Sandwich & it was sooo good.

KRISPY KREME REVIEWS

There's something special about a hot Krispy Kreme donut that rolls out on the conveyor belt, especially when it's coupled with a frozen mocha latte. This store is right next to the Dupont Circle Metro and just a few blocks from the Phillips. The staff is really nice and friendly. If you're a senior, ask for the ten percent discount. There was only one table for seating when we were there.

Hands down I just had the best coffee of my life, krispy kreme uses their own coffee 100% arabica beans and best quality syrups (Ghirardelli) Khalil and a younger lady were very sweet and friendly. this is going to be my new coffee spot.

Absolutely divine donuts that melt in your mouth with every bite, paired with the warmest, most welcoming staff who make every visit a delight!.

DONUT RUN REVIEWS

So many cool toppings and flavors! They post their flavors on instagram which was very helpful to ensure I was ready to order when I was next in line. They don’t have any seating so it’s definitely a grab and go spot. All donuts are vegan and so soft and fresh! I got the payday, mocha frapp, strawberry and DC crumb cake donuts. The payday and crumb cake were my favorites. I’d love to come back and try more flavors soon!.

I’ve been waiting to try this donut spot over the last few months and I must say I was not disappointed. They had so many different flavors it was tough to choose from. Fun fact, this spot is vegan. The donuts were airy and sweet with a perfect balance of icing to dough ratio. They had a friendly staff as well.

Donut Run was so very good! We got a Creme brûlée donut, vanilla coconut, mocha frappe, Boston cream, pistachio lemon, and a Homer (pink frosting with sprinkles). The donuts were so fresh and fluffy. And huge! I highly recommend coming here! There was a small line but it went quickly.
