"Bub and Pop's provides most ingredients for their sandwiches, which are prepared in-house from scratch. Their staff is very attentive and friendly. The sandwich shop offers a selection of hot teas, and all menus are displayed at their counter. Bub and Pop's serves kettle-cooked potato chips, French onion dip and beanie greenies. They are well-known for making some of the best sandwiches in the country. Catering services are available across the community. They bought a small corner grocery/deli in West Philly and created their own style Italian hoagies and braised beef brisket sandwiches. Almost 60 years later, these sandwiches continue to inspire their menu as their grandson, Chef Jon Taub, reinvents these classics.

2026 Highlights: Bub and Pop's has moved to a large new location in NoMa that features a custom roll-baking oven, a full-service bar, and retro duckpin bowling lanes."

I made my way here on recommendation of a coworker. I was a bit hesitant at $10 for half a sub, but I went anyway. The subs are worth every penny! It was stuffed full and overflowing. Absolutely one of, if not, the best sub I've ever eaten. The clam chowder was also delicious. The customer service was great and the food was ready surprisingly fast! I'll definitely be going back very soon.

Italian Hoagie is one of the best I have ever had. The hoagie was loaded with so much flavor and a reasonable price for the sheer size. Pasta salad is also incredible. Most pasta salad is bland, yet with their unique spin, it was truly splendid to eat. They finally reopened indoor seating since the pandemic and the area is comforting. I will most certainly be returning soon.

Yes, try these delicious sandwiches. You order at the window and sit outside. The Hebrew Hammer and the Italian Hoagie were both outstanding. There is a steady line of people, mostly office workers, waiting for their delicious to-go lunch. Do not miss this opportunity to try a unique Washington lunch time staple. We will treturn.

Very good. We love Jersey Mike's Subs where we live. This location was quite small, but the person taking our order was extremely friendly.

The girls at the counter ona busy Saturday were great! Very friendly.

The G-Man is the sandwich to get. The only decision is soft or hard roll. I prefer soft so I don't have to fight my sandwich while I'm eating it. It's really the civilized choice. The owner hasn't changed in years. I'm glad they now accept cards. Best sandwich in DC.

Awesome subs, as others have said, G Man is the way to go. Everything is fresh and thick cut for the meat and cheese. The fontina is a great cheese. Super fast, friendly, and good value. It’s often packed in here for good reason. Thank you.
