3 Best Preschools in Tacoma, WA

As soon as my daughter hit the 1 year old room, she waved GOODBYE to me when I dropped her off at daycare. Before age 1 was hard, but after that was a dream. She has a thoughtful curriculum, comes home singing new songs, teaching us new sign language, doing a full dance to 'wheels on the bus' and is great at playing with other kids. The activities they do are fabulous - pumpkin carving in the fall, painting in the summer, learning to spread sunbutter, shadow boxes, all very creative ideas. There is no way we could have taught her at the same level if she stayed at home, the interaction is great. She also gets 2 hours of sleep for a regular nap, loves her schedule and we receive daily photos of her time at school. Miss Leila is a constant presence at KinderCare in North Tacoma and she is just fantastic. Love the teachers and the staff. Thanks for all you do.

I have two children at North Tacoma Kindercare. We started our journey with them three years ago with our oldest child and didn't hesitate to enroll our youngest when it was time. The staff and directors are professional, kind, dedicated and consistently provide excellent education and care for my children. Specifically, Ms. Sandy and Ms. Rachael have gone above and beyond communicating and collaborating with me about my child's progress. I could high light the wonderful things about all of their teachers, but this review would become novel length! Both children are happy to arrive at school and happy when I pick them up. It is a pleasure to walk into both classrooms in the mornings and chat with their teachers and they always make time to talk about their days at pick up. I trust these teachers with the most important people in my life. I can't thank the staff here enough for all they do.

Miss maggie is the best thing about this daycare! My daughter has been to 3 and I can tell you that no one comes close to the amazing care taker she is.

Northpoint Cooperative Preschool has been a great place for my children to learn and grow! Both of my sons have been through Ms. Melissa's Parent Tot class which was a great introduction to school. Melissa is kind and caring, creative and fun! Ms. Hilary's 3s classes offer really great social emotional learning which is important at age 3 (and beyond.) She integrates outdoor learning and gardening into her school year which is awesome! The kids love planting in the garden and then seeing what blooms by the end of the school year. Ms. Megan's Mixed Age and Pre K classes prepare the children for Kindergarten as well as remind them that they are each special in their own little ways. If they can dream it they can achieve it, the moto she had printed on the kids Kindergarten promotion T Shirt. The school is really special and a wonderful place to meeting other like minded families in the community.

We are in our second year at Northpoint and we have been so pleasantly surprised with how warm and wonderful not only the teachers are, but the community as a whole. My daughter is enrolled in the mixed age class with Ms. Megan and my son is in the parent/ tot class with Ms. Melissa. Both teachers are exceptionally warm and patient with my children and they are both learning so much in their classes. I’m very grateful for the community we get to be apart of now because of Northpoint. I highly recommend this preschool!.

Our family has had a great experience at Northpoint Co-op! The teachers are incredible and my children love going to school. While the curriculum is rooted in play, the kids are learning each and every day. We feel part of a community of caring families that look out for each other. We highly recommend this preschool.
